We have found that many companies have a problem when donating IT to a charity. Whether you must erase the countless devices prior to collection, or they will take only a certain asset class for example laptops.

Global IT Buyer have designed 4 methods to give you an easy and time saving method to donate your equipment to charity.

Hybrid

Global IT Buyer’s hybrid charity service allows you to get the most from your assets. We will take all your assets, erase and inspect the consignment. We will buy the assets which cannot be donated and then call off the devices you want to charity thereafter (usually grade A and B stock). This flexible model reduces waste as many assets which are donated are beyond economic repair (BER) and still gives you a return on the assets which are not available for donation, for example infrastructure.

Cost Neutral Donation

This method is designed so you can donate as many assets to charity as possible without paying a penny. We will buy the devices off you until processing and collection costs are offset. For example say we collect 100 laptops and the average price buyback price is £50, leaving us with a final buyback total of £5000. The collection and packaging fee is £500 and the processing cost is £20 per unit leading to a total cost of £2500. This would allow for 50 laptops donated to charity along with your hassle free disposal being completed.

Buyback Donation

This follows the typical ITAD route where we will complete the usual disposal process from collection to COD. With the money generated you can either donate this money to a charity of your choice or our partner Little Lives.

Full donation

If you would like to donate all your assets to charity, we will happily provide the usual services of collection, inspection, auditing and data destruction and then you can pay us for the services, and we will send the assets to a charity of your choice, or you can use our charity partner. This option it best when you are just recycling laptops and monitors. Please see our standard collection and processing costs below. All prices are ex VAT.
